Letter

Introduction

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Niraj Deobhankar, a regular reader of your daily ‘The Hindu’. I am writing this letter to protest again the one-sided review of the third movie in the series ‘The Matrix 3’, published in your yesterday’s copy.

Instruction 1

The writer was myopic in analysing the movie scenes and judging it to be superior on the technology and inferior on the storyline. Also, the critic ambushed the director for not rendering each character well and jumping too soon in a prominent storyline.

Instruction 2

However, I believe the movie doesn’t deserve such harsh treatment. As I stated earlier, this is a series of movies and the film in the contention is the culmination of all that had come prior. It has a transcendental message urging all of us to look beyond our worldly belongings and contemplate the meaning of the existence. At the same time, to make this issue palpable for the public and to draw them to the theatre, the director may have used extra-ordinary fighting scenes.

Instruction 3

I request you to watch this movie and write an informed article yourself kindly. I am sure, as an editor of such a reputed newspaper, you value artists and their art. Looking forward to reading your views on the film.

Thanking you for your attention.

Yours faithfully,

Niraj Deobhankar
