IELTS Letter 1: Resigning from your job

Introduction

Dear Pradeep,

I am thankful for your advice the other day. I am writing this letter to convey my decision to quit as a Guest Service Agent.

Body Paragraph 1 on the issue

Recently, I have started taking IELTS classes. I wish to appear for the same so that I can immigrate to Canada and eventually settle there. Also, as my brother and his family are already settled there, I think it is a wise decision.

Body Paragraph 2 why you are leaving the company

The choice to resign will allow me to focus on my preparation well. My responsibilities in our hotel demand for long hours but so do my studies. Being a responsible person, I had to part my ways with the organisation as I look forward to a reunion with my family in Canada.

Body Paragraph 3 what you plan to do after leaving the employment

Once I settle in Canada, I plan to start my career in Real Estate, which will allow me flexibility in my schedule. I am sure the management skills that I have learnt under your supervision would come handy in this new endeavour.

IELTS Letter 2: Resigning from your job

Introduction

Dear Satish,

Thanks for your guidance in the last meeting on my career prospects. Based on it, I am writing this letter to inform you about my decision to part ways with the organisation.

Body Paragraph 1 on the issue

Recently, my wife and I had applied for the Permanent Residency in Canada. Since her application is accepted, we have decided to move there.

Body Paragraph 2 why you are leaving the company

As a result, I will not be able to continue with my responsibilities in the team. Although our organisation may allow me to work remotely from Canada, the time difference may restrict my access to each team member. So, I have decided to quit my position.

Body Paragraph 3 what you plan to do after leaving the employment

After reaching Toronto, I plan to apply for similar positions in software companies there. I am sure the professional experience I gained while working with this company will be held in high regard.

End Paragraph

In the context, I request you to accept my resignation. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Kiran Chaudhary
