IELTS Letter to a friend about a part-time job in a foreign country

Introduction

Dear Sara,

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for guiding me to book accommodation in Canada. I have found a lovely house in the descent neighbourhood.

Body Paragraph 1 about study plan

As you know, I have enrolled at the University of Toronto for a full-time Masters in Mechanical Engineering. I am excited to be around some of the world experts in the field, but the course is exorbitant.

Body Paragraph 2 about reasons for a part-time job

To cover the expenses, I aim to find a part-time job. It will help me cover not only the tuition fees but also living expenses every month.

Body Paragraph 3 about how your friend can help you

You have a few friends here. I was wondering if you could ask them to see if anyone wants a house cleaner, gardener, or nanny for their children. I am good at all these jobs, as back in India, these were my daily chores in the joint family.

End Paragraph

Please do me this additional favour. I look forward to seeing you soon. Thanks.

Love,

Manisha
