The given chart provides us with information about the frequency at which people ate in fast-food restaurants in the USA. This data is given for the period between 2003 and 2013 and is measured in percentage of people.
During the given years, the percent of people who ate in fast food restaurants once a week and once or twice a month was high while the other frequencies were lower. Individually, the percentage of people who ate every day and who never ate in fast food restaurants was less than the remaining.
The percentage of people who ate every day in fast food hotels was less than 5% for the given period. A similar trend was observed in the rates of people who never went to a fast-food restaurant.
On the other hand, the percentage of people who went to fast food restaurants once a week and once or twice in a month for the year 2003 were about 31% and 30% respectively. For the year 2006, there was a slight increase compared to previous year’s data for people who visited once a week. At the same time, there was a decrease in the percentage of people who visited once or twice a month. For the year 2013, an opposite trend to that in the year 2006 was observed for both frequencies.
Lastly, the percentage of people who ate several times in a week was more than who visited the fast-food restaurant few times in a year. While in 2003 and 2013, slightly more than 15% of the total population had junk food several times a week, almost 20% of them tasted the same. For the people who visited the fast-food restaurant a few times a year was equal for the years 2006 and 2013 at 15%.
